  • Successfully spearheaded EU funded multi-million initiatives to address natural resource management(NRM) and climate change adaptation in Puntland State of Somalia , leading to improved resilience, food security, and household incomes among targeted pastoralist population
  • I was consortium Manager for CARE International to the EU funded cross-border project- Building Opportunities for Resilience in the Horn of Africa(BORESHA) implemented by CARE, DRC, World Vision and private sector (Tetra tech) in Mandera (Kenya), Gedo region(Somalia) and Dolo Ado woreda(Ethiopia)
  • Implemented comprehensive borderlands natural resource management programme across Kenya, Ethiopia, and Somalia, resulting in improved livelihoods and ecosystem resilience for cross-border communities.
  • Currently i am the Programme Manager to the DANIDA funded Community-led Innovative Solution for Building Resilience(COLISBR) project that CARE is implementing in Sanaag region, Somaliland under the Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) initiative
  • Strengthened the Participatory Rangeland Management (PRM) Approach within pastoralist communities, leading to enhanced sustainable management and productivity of range land resources, and improved livelihood outcomes.
  • Strengthened organizational capacity at the Ministry of Environment, natural resource and Climate Change by leveraging my expertise in environmental and natural management. This resulted in improved policies, strategies, and procedures.
  • Significantly contributed to proposal development and successful implementation of diverse climate and resilience initiatives like BORESHA, SOMREP, and AART project.
