• Led the capacity building of partner agencies(7 INGOs and 26 LNGOs) in implementing programme workplans to ensure timely delivery of interventions inline with the programme quality assurance plan.
• Provided technical support in the development of proposals on multi-sector programmes targeting USAID,BMZ,SDC,World Bank and SIDA with an 80% success rate bringing in 24 million USD since 2020.
• Led the development of a sentinel dashboard that bridges operational presence,vulnerability profiles,IPC ratings,and intervention coverage to guide agile response planning and inform scale-up initiatives.
• Established learning initiatives such as the joint learning platform facilitating consortium level learning and experience sharing with Government agencies as well as quarterly review meetings and technical working group sessions.
• Led the theory of change programme design process to integrate inclusive development action and climate resilience ensuring intervention design is GESI responsive and continuously adapt new ideas to generate meaningful impact.
• Developed Score card approach to performance management that helped cross-walk finance and programme metrics contributing to efficient programme delivery and responsive funding allocation inline with contractual obligations.
• Developed consortium wide programme quality assurance plan with metrics to track quality delivery across 3 conflict affected countries.
• Supported effective stakeholder engagement with Government and providing technical backstopping in stakeholder coordination fora such as resilience pillar working group among others.

Recruited to provide strategic guidance and technical support for monitoring and evaluation to the Green foods and productive landscapes division that hosts programmes focusing on securing diversity in seed systems in Africa and sustainable and secure smallholder systems.

• Developed management briefs on the health of programmes and sensitivity analysis, providing input on alternative measures and strategies to improve on key performance measures for both programs.
• Planned and managed periodic progress review meetings at institutional level and at project level bringing together programme and finance teams to reflect on scale and project health reviewing burnrates targets and responsive action.
• Facilitated ideation processes through hosting the innovation challenge and periodic brown bag sessions to support teams to share challenges and co-create solutions.
• Initiated and oversaw development and transition processes for the Information Management System that integrates real-time reporting and GIS for tracking the scale of programme interventions. This shifts the division from paper-based reporting structures to digital platforms applicable in low resource settings and enables programs to visualize their work and make program changes and improvements based on evidence.
• Provided support to the re-structure and re-design of the institutional M&E System to ease the collection and presentation of quantitative and qualitative outcomes and outputs of programmes implemented by Hivos.
• Coordinated continuous learning initiatives through the Theory of change workshops and Out harvesting workshops. This provided learning opportunities to improve programme design for both for packaging of institutional approaches and programme ideation purposes.
• Provided technical support in developing the Hivos Track record process that sought to reflect and asses the scale of impact that Hivos has had in East Africa over the last 10 years. In this process I also provided support in designing the data gathering tools and analysis protocol.
• Provided multilevel training to field staff and program managers in partner agencies on Monitoring and Evaluation with focus on Frameworks, databases, and data for decision-making, aimed at improving management processes towards efficiency and ensuring program targets remain on course.
• Developed and coordinated mid-term review of Food security and Income security initiatives in Kenya Uganda and Tanzania and realigning the theory of change for the interventions.
• Developed and coordinated the implementation of a longitudinal study to evaluate the impact of gender interventions in adoption Good Agricultural Practices in Tanzania,Kenya and Uganda.
• Developed context analysis to inform biannual coffee barometer,a report on sector wide actions to improve coffee production globally.

Recruited to spearhead the implementation of strategic capacity enhancement processes as well as reviewing the Principal recipient and the Sub-recipients’ performance on programmatic targets to ensure effective utilization of physical, financial and human resources allocated for the Non State Actors under the grant. The role further mandates provision of leadership in ensuring programme quality and alignment to National Policies, Guidelines and strategies in the Region

• Effectively managed the grant in the region to achieve 100% of stated targets across all service delivery areas of Prevention of Mother to child transmission, Most at risk populations and Care and support for the chronically ill.
• Coordinated successful implementation of risk mitigation strategies resulting in a 40% reduction of questionable costs among sub recipients under the GF grant. This has ensured compliance to grant procedures for all sub recipients in the region.
• Ensured timely and quality review, compilation and submission of monthly and quarterly narrative and financial reports for regional and all sub recipients
• Provided Technical support to County Governments to conduct gap analysis and target setting towards achievement of the 90-90-90 goals towards ending AIDS pandemic.
• Developed and coordinated implementation of effective client contact and follow-up strategies for PMTCT that resulted in a 200% overachievement in facility deliveries and effective EID initiatives that saw 78% retention rate in HEI 18 months post-delivery.
• Led technical assistance to Sub-Recipients on activity implementation to ensure quality and efficiency as well as redesign and structure of programme structure.
• Coordinated effective service delivery during tense political periods during National elections and clan related civil unrest.
• Participated in the development of the National quality assurance tool for PEO programmes an exercise that saw sub-recipients under GF selected to pilot the tool.

The position involved operationalizing the M&E framework designed for the Global Fund programme including and not limited to: designing programme M&E tools for data collection, verification, data management and reporting and data audits, supporting partners in setting up functional data management systems and processes, support the assessment processes of Sub recipients and implement actions emanating from assessments at the Regions.

• Contributed to the development of National Key Populations Monitoring and Evaluation tools that would greatly improve tracking of service delivery data in the country.
• Effectively supported the development and review of Global Fund M&E data monitoring tools for both PR and sub-recipients, an exercise that would contribute to comprehensive data capture tools.
• Developed of the institutional Global Fund M&E reference guide. A guiding document to inform quality data management for the programme.
• Developed and maintained quarterly Regional work plans and Quarterly performance monitoring plans to guide the implementation of the grant and achievement of Principal Recipient targets.
• Conducted a review of the Grant Sub-recipients work-plans and budgets in the region an exercise that would contribute towards the prompt and successful implementation of the grant.
• Supported all nine sub-recipients to conduct the Monitoring and evaluation systems are strengthening assessment (MEEST). This included;Providing guidance on strengthening measures based on gaps that emanated from the audit and consolidation and review of the MEEST action plan.
• Led routine mentorship and training on Results-Based Management for sub-recipients to orient them to principles of RBM and operationalize RBM in their programmes as part of institutional capacity strengthening.

• Developed the procurement plan for Global Fund round 10 Needle Syringe Program pilot project and lubricant commodities as part of prevention commodities for the community.
• Supported the protocol development and actual implementation of the National Prevention Commodities Situational Analysis to identify the distribution patterns and channels as well as identify barriers to access and usage.
• Provided technical assistance in protocol review, progress review and report writing for the Nairobi Most at Risk Populations IBBS Study The HOPE Survey funded by CDC implemented through Population council and NASCOP.
• Provided technical assistance in the planning and the implementation of the PMTCT Joint IATT Review Mission: to review the current status of the implementation of PMTCT and Pediatric Aids care and treatment in the country; in line with KNASP III, Universal Access targets (2010) and MDGs and virtual elimination targets (2015).
• Provided technical assistance in the development of the Evidence Based Interventions assessment tool (KPHIAT) to be used to evaluate behavioral interventions being implemented in Kenya.
• Provided technical assistance in the development review of the protocol for Conducting Nationwide size estimation exercise for high-risk groups.
