  • Led the capacity building of partner agencies(7 INGOs and 26 LNGOs) in implementing programme workplans to ensure timely delivery of interventions inline with the programme quality assurance plan.
  • Provided technical support in the development of proposals on multi-sector programmes targeting USAID,BMZ,SDC,World Bank and SIDA with an 80% success rate bringing in 24 million USD since 2020.

  • Effectively managed the grant in the region to achieve 100% of stated targets across all service delivery areas of Prevention of Mother to child transmission, Most at risk populations and Care and support for the chronically ill.
  • Coordinated successful implementation of risk mitigation strategies resulting in a 40% reduction of questionable costs among sub recipients under the GF grant. This has ensured compliance to grant procedures for all sub recipients in the region.
  • Ensured timely and quality review, compilation and submission of monthly and quarterly narrative and financial reports for regional and all sub recipients
  • Provided Technical support to County Governments to conduct gap analysis and target setting towards achievement of the 90-90-90 goals towards ending AIDS pandemic.
  • Developed and coordinated implementation of effective client contact and follow-up strategies for PMTCT that resulted in a 200% overachievement in facility deliveries and effective EID initiatives that saw 78% retention rate in HEI 18 months post-delivery.
  • Led technical assistance to Sub-Recipients on activity implementation to ensure quality and efficiency as well as redesign and structure of programme structure.
  • Coordinated effective service delivery during tense political periods during National elections and clan related civil unrest.

The position involved operationalizing the M&E framework designed for the Global Fund programme including and not limited to: designing programme M&E tools for data collection, verification, data management and reporting and data audits, supporting partners in setting up functional data management systems and processes, support the assessment processes of Sub recipients and implement actions emanating from assessments at the Regions.

  • Contributed to the development of National Key Populations Monitoring and Evaluation tools that would greatly improve tracking of service delivery data in the country.
  • Effectively supported the development and review of Global Fund M&E data monitoring tools for both PR and sub-recipients, an exercise that would contribute to comprehensive data capture tools.
  • Developed of the institutional Global Fund M&E reference guide. A guiding document to inform quality data management for the programme.
  • Developed and maintained quarterly Regional work plans and Quarterly performance monitoring plans to guide the implementation of the grant and achievement of Principal Recipient targets.
  • Conducted a review of the Grant Sub-recipients work-plans and budgets in the region an exercise that would contribute towards the prompt and successful implementation of the grant.
  • Supported all nine sub-recipients to conduct the Monitoring and evaluation systems are strengthening assessment (MEEST). This included;Providing guidance on strengthening measures based on gaps that emanated from the audit and consolidation and review of the MEEST action plan.
  • Led routine mentorship and training on Results-Based Management for sub-recipients to orient them to principles of RBM and operationalize RBM in their programmes as part of institutional capacity strengthening.
