• Monitored and handled all accounting and financial activities including the accuracy recording of transactions, cash management, banking, payroll, receivables, payables and timely updating in ADCON financial tools and ensuring that Monthly end process to act accordingly.

• Reviewed and scrutinized all key financial transactions for compliant the company’s governance requirements and the process of accounting standards (GAAP) or IFRS.

• Prepared internal audit policy and procedures based on risks analyses
• Conducted internal audit work in procurement and administration and finance department
• Carried out internal audit operation on risk areas and detected and prevented embezzlement events with a cost of $30,000 USD
• Audited worth over 4 million dollar
• Strengthened an internal control system mechanisms in the CSC agent
• Drafted internal audit reports accompanied with specific recommendation to senior management of the agent and World Bank as well.

Project background

This project was funded and controlled by the World Bank, the project was capacity injection for government institutions such as ministries, departments and agencies (MDA).

Duties performed:

• Collect all financial transaction documentation for record keeping: payment invoices and receipts, contracts, vouchers and IR payment support documentation.
• Assist the Finance Officer to confirm timely recording and reconciliation of transactions ensuring a high degree of accuracy, completeness and sufficiency of all accounting documentation.
• ‘Paid’ stamping of all the bills and related documents before filing.
• Prepare and submit in a timely manner all statutory and tax related returns.
• Assist with audit related requirements (timely documents retrieval, filing after audit completion, and proving additional assistance as necessary.
